Another Day at Wasa

As soon as we woke up in the morning, the kids wanted to go for a bike ride.  We quickly got dressed and headed over to Rachel's campsite.  They were already packing up to leave, so we were glad we went when we did!  The kids played together with our walkie-talkies that we'd pulled out this morning.  When they got everything loaded, we headed back to our trailer for some breakfast.
There's something about eating outside that makes things taste even better than normal.  The kids loved their pancakes and bacon.
The kids were pretty determined to go swimming in the lake this morning (in their swimming suits this time).  It wasn't very warm and you could see the clouds starting to roll in, but we went anyways!  Lennard blew up the inflatable boat that we'd bought from Wal-Mart.
They had so much fun.   They are a LOT braver than I am!  Emma got right in and it didn't seem like the weather bothered her at all.  Ben waded a bit, but loved getting to ride in the boat.
Emma was only in the boat for a few minutes before she decided that she wanted to jump in.  Ben liked it until the wind started blowing and pushed the boat farther than he was comfortable with.  They only ended up being able to play with the boat for about 20 minutes before it started to rain.  We barely got back before it poured!
We hung out in the trailer and played some games until the rain stopped.  As soon as the rain stopped, the kids were back on their bikes and riding around the campground.
After a while, we decided to all go for a bike ride and ended up riding all the way around Wasa Lake. We were impressed at how well the kids did.  Ben struggled a bit, but we managed to keep him going the whole 8 kilometers!

When we got back, the kids kept playing on their bikes while Lennard and I took a bit of a break. Emma was pretty determined that she wanted to go around the lake again, but there was no way that we could convince Ben to go again.  Lennard took Emma for another bike ride and I took Ben to the playground and beach again.

Finally, when everyone was back at the trailer we had a delicious barbequed steak dinner.  We then drove over to the little diner to get some ice cream for dessert. Such a fun day... and we are all exhausted now!
